No possessions (no religion too)

Now that my desk and futon are off to a place where they are more likely to be appreciated, i.e. the apartment of Al, who recently wreaked long-awaited vengeance upon me in the form of boiling hot Earl Grey to the face, I had to revert to a method of apartment furnishing which is more befitting my "style":




Have you ever seen a more bad-ass setup? I contend that you have not.

Now I'm thinking, I could have lived like this the entire time I've been here, and saved close to $1000 (I'm normally not one for "shopping around"). I'm glad I bought them, because now someone else doesn't have to, but really, I could have gotten by just fine this way ...

Ugh, I was going to write a lot more, but I'm not feeling it at all right now. Some people have been asking about when I'm coming to NH, and the answer is, the 15th or 16th of July. My only plans involve a Watch Them Die/Soilent Green show in Providence, I believe, on the 20th, hiking somewhere on the 21st during the day, FLUTTR show in Allston that evening, and another FLUTTR show (I'm hoping to get the chance to talk to their marimba player ... she is dreamy) in Fitchburg on the evening of the 22nd. You should all try to come to at least one of these shows with me, or I will leave the country remembering you as a loser. Is that how you want to be remembered??

Tuesday or some other time this week I'll get into the details of some of my intentions for the Japan trip.

CDs I either picked up or downloaded (with the intention of picking up) this weekend:
- Same Shit Different Day by Lyrics Born (Hapa hip-hop artist)
- The Shape of Punk to Come by Refused (Scandinavian hardcore geniuses) (thanks to K for the CD, and for letting us drink his scotch and crash at his place Saturday)
- Full Circle & 3rd Eye Vision by Hieroglyphics (Del the Funkee Homosapien's actual group)
- Team Sleep by Team Sleep (non-heavy, sort of good side project of Chino from the Deftones)

I recommend them in that order.
