When you teach good old dogs bad new habits and they die hard

Strange, the things that creep up on you, and the things that creep away.

You ever leave your job for a week or so and then totally forget how to do to whatever it is that you do? Don`t you think that`s your mind`s way of telling you that what you`re doing is absolutely unnecessary for your survival?

On the other hand, I`m completely unable to lose a couple of strange habits. For example, I`m back on the rice diet, for the 3rd time since 2001. The only difference is that now I put instant curry in it, so I get my daily supply of brown.

Also, I`m already back on the Stay Up Till Some Ungodly Hour And Then Go To Work All Tired And Irritable (SUTSUHATGTWATAI) plan. Doesn`t everybody do this? Why do I feel like everybody does this?

I guess it all comes back to my ridiculous association of self-deprivation with strength, even though I think in the long run, not eating or sleeping probably makes you much weaker. That`s why I jack myself up with legal stimulants in order to keep going!

Speaking of legal stimulants, it has recently come to mind that nearly every girl I`ve ever been attracted to has been a smoker. Coincidence? Maybe. Or maybe it`s that "I Don`t Give a Shit" attitude they`ve got. Lung Cancer, you say? Fuck Off. Yeah, tell it sister! Or, it could also be that if a girl smokes and also looks good, you know it`s not because she lives a healthy lifestyle, and that`s sexier than knowing someone only looks good due to a great deal of effort. That must be it ... lack of effort. It turns me on!

And on that note … look at this!!

Ha ha! It seems that your blog readership has abandoned you!

Never fear, I'm still around.

Your stereo is acceptable working condition. It is kind of dinged and dented and scratched from it's shipping ordeals, and a couple of the feet on the reciever broke off. The cord that arrived severed was the one for the sub-woofer, which was easily replaced. As for the odd activity is was displaying, There were times where the digital [optical] audio was not working, until I exchanged the cord at Best Buy for new one. Now it seems to work fine. Except for the fact that I don't have a remote control for the reciever. I think I still have that one joos bought a long time ago, I'll have to dig it out.
