Quarter Century with Cheese

What a waste of a week. I'm really not off to a good start. My head is in the wrong places.

- I downloaded a Tricky album yesterday, but listening to it just reminds me of Massive Attack, which always makes me think back to this one winter in Philly when I used to sleep on this guy Ethan's couch next to a drafty window, and I'd always wake up curled up inside my jacket underneath the couch cushions with the loose change and crumbs, to Ngoc knocking on the window on her way to work in the morning.

- Then at motherfucking dinner (I use "motherfucking" because after at least a week of hating work, the last thing I want to do is go out with my damn coworkers, but you can't say no when they invite you 2 months in advance!), I accidentally ordered these fried cheese-stick things, which ended up making me think of the mozzerella sticks people used to get at Friendly's on Loudon Road, which I'd never eat because they didn't go well with coffee (or anything for that matter), the summer after freshman year of college, when I used to hang out with Mike and Jared and Melinda and then play Half Life on my computer in my basement in the middle of the night. And thinking about that reminds me of the first System of a Down album. I'm not even going to bother with their new one.

- Oh, and here's a bad turn: the other night on the train, like 5 different people were playing PSPs, and for some reason it really made me want to buy one. Would that be such a bad thing? Why do I feel like if I got a handheld gaming device it'd be the absolute fucking end of me? Because I have no self control, that's why.

Happy Birthday Dan.

Oh btw, have you met a Yakuza yet?

gracias. and though I don`t think I`ve met any Yakuza, this shirtless tattooed guy with a mohawk once introduced himself to me as "the most dangerous man in Nagoya," though that might have just been because I was flirting with his girlfriend.

Ah, Fiendly's. Now I must get coffee... thanks.

I would recommend the Nintendo DS instead of the PSP but that's because I hate Sony. 'Fucking Dick!'

hey, that's a good point; I hate Sony too, even though they made my phone and stereo, which are both kind of nice. Shit, now I'm really torn. I bet I end up buying neither!
